    MIPS Helmets to Drive Bicycle: Should You Use Them?

    To put it in perspective, the outer shell of a helmet is like a second skull, while the MIPS liner is like the brain fluid in that second skull. The more deviation it can create in an accident, the more it reduces the trauma to the brain.



    Should you consider using a MIPS helmet?

    Because the falls are so different, it will never be possible to replicate them perfectly in a laboratory. Therefore, having an extra layer of protection can help us. However, MIPS is not perfect and the science behind this technology is not perfect, nor can it compensate for a poorly designed case.
